A wonderful teacher and a wonderful person

I have just read that Mr Lloyd died earlier this year. He was a truly wonderful man and I had tears in my eyes as I read that he had passed away. My fondest memory of him is teaching peristalsis and how water can travel up the body even when you are standing on your head. He showed us this one day in class and I had to give him the water while he did a handstand against the wall. It was hilarious....but it really made us understand how the digestive system worked. I also knew Teifi outside school. I'd see him in Abersychan occasionally, and in the teachers union meetings when I became a teacher myself. Even when I knew him as an adult, he was still cracking jokes and always had time for you. I still tell my own students about the perastalsis lesson today, and like me, they are laughing out loud.
